Following the publication of the original article, a typesetting error caused an incorrect reference in the abstract. The first sentence of the Abstract reads: Cerebral phaeohyphomycosis is a rare and potentially life-threatening fungal infection caused by dematiaceous fungi (Nosanchuk and Casadevall in Antimicrob Agents Chemother 50(11):3519–3528, 2006).
The correct reference is as follows:
