ROC curve for prediction of cranial US evidence of HIE using serum MDA. There is a highly significant difference between positive and negative US findings using MDA levels (P = 0.007). Area under curve was 0.749. Cut-off MDA in hypoxic neonates with positive US findings was > 2.88 nmol/ml. Sensitivity of MDA in positive US findings was 90.9% and specificity was 57.14%
