A male patient 52 years old known case of COVID-19 infection as confirmed by PCR. He complained of chest pain 10 days after the onset of the disease. His D-dimer level was 1.6 μg/ml. a, b Axial CT images of the patient, showing right side peripheral pulmonary reversed halo sign (the black circle in image a) with scattered right peripheral pulmonary ground-glass opacities (black arrow in b). A pulmonary embolism was suspected for which CTPA was done and revealed pulmonary embolism involving the right inter-lobar artery (white arrow in c), partial embolism of the segmental branches of the left lower lobar artery (white arrow in d) with no CT evidence of right ventricular strain with normal RV/LV ratio and normal rightward deviated IV septum as seen in image e
