Male patient 28 years old, complaining of weakness in extension of the middle finger of the right hand with remote history of hand trauma. Axial T2WI (a), axial T1WI (b) and axial STIR (c) weighted imaging of the right middle finger at the level of the proximal interphalangeal joint (PIP) showed abnormally thinned out lateral band of the extensor apparatus of the middle finger (white arrow) with preserved thickness of the medial band of the similar apparatus.
