Evaluation of margins of lesion by CT and MRI in a 55 year old female known case of carcinoma lung with skull metastases (A) CT bone window image shows a large mixed (lytic + sclerotic) lesion with ill defined margins. MRI T1W (B) and T2W (C) images show a large mixed intensity lesion with ill defined margins. Margins of the lesions in this case can be easily classified as ill defined on both CT and MRI
