Expiratory central airway collapse with mildly discordant result of cross-sectional area reduction between CT and bronchoscopy. Cross-sectional area measurement of trachea at aortic arch level using cine CT during end-inspiratory (a) and end-expiratory phases (c) revealed significant expiratory airway collapse that was calculated to be 50% cross-sectional area reduction at CT. Corresponding flexible bronchoscopy images (b, d) confirms the presence of expiratory central airway collapse but with slightly higher degree than that perceived with CT. However, both results are still within the same severity score (class 2; ≥ 50–70% cross-sectional area reduction)
