MRI brain scan with contrast and MR perfusion showing bilateral temporal lobe lesions that are hypointese on T1 with Gad-enhancing irregular margins (a indicates “axial” and d indicates “coronal”), with heterogeneous signal intensity on T2 (e indicates “coronal”) and FLAIR (b indicates “axial”). The lesions were surrounded with massive vasogenic edema that exerted a mass effect on the ipsilateral ventricle and resulted in midline shift.
