  1. *Typical malignant mass lesions are considered when masses showed spiculated outlines, with marked surrounding distortion +/− clustered microcalcifcations
  2. **Atypical mass lesions in the true interval cancer included 12 well-circumscribed (oval/round) and 1 intra-cystic and 2 intra-ductal carcinomas, while in the missed cancers included 8 well-circumscribed (oval/round) and 2 intra-cystic masses
